Anyway, this is a picture I took near the Wannsee in Germany, in the southwest of Berlin. This narrow road takes you to a small harbor and the lake itself.

Travel Theme - Light

It is time for a new travel theme and this week Ailsa has choses Light. I was a bit lost in the beginning, since I couldn't find any pictures that in one way or another related to the theme. Luckily, a visit to the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken gave me a lot of inspiration. The weather was very sunny and I liked how the sunlight produced all colors of the rainbow on the glass roof of one of the greenhouses.

Travel Theme - Contrast

It's time again for a new theme on http://wheresmybackpack.com/! This week Ailsa has chosen "contrast". During my walk today I was looking for contrasts in color, but then I discovered something else. And it was just around the corner! A small square with blossoming trees, surrounded by high buildings and lots of traffic.

When I look back at all the pictures that I took in and around Hungary, I have lots featuring steps and stairs. Coincidence or not? Anyway, this is my favorite, mainly because of the colors. I took the picture somewhere in Slovenia!

Travel Theme - Benches

This time Ailsa from wheresmybackpack.com had come up with a theme that I thought was going to be difficult. Benches. I was actually convinced that I never take pictures of benches, but a closer look at my huge picture collection proved me wrong.

Even during my recent trip to Hungary I took pictures of benches! This is one of them. The two benches are located at Balatonvilágos and offer a beautiful view on both the resort and the Balaton Lake.

As soon as I read about this challenge, I immediately thought about Your Rainbow Panorama. It's an art installation of Olafur Eliasson on top of the ARoS museum in Aarhus. You can read more about it here.

Travel Theme - Bridges

Every Friday, Ailsa from wheresmybackpack.com provides us with a new theme. When I saw "bridges", I could easily have chosen a picture of one of the many bridges that connect some of the Danish islands with each other. Instead, I went for this: a bridge in a tropical zoo! I took this picture last year in Randers Rainforest, where we did some tree-top walking and got very close to monkeys, sloths and bats!
